Our Mission

FUEL the CURE's mission is to inspire and enable a philanthropic lifestyle. Our organization was built on two principles:

  1. We can all use our resources (notably time, skill sets, networks, energy and money) more constructively, and
  2. Fun and philanthropy can be combined

Our team of young professional volunteers carries out the mission by organizing both volunteer and fundraising events that benefit a range of national and local charities. Specifically, efforts of our Children in Need Campaign go towards providing children in need with better health, education and communities. To date, FUEL the CURE has engaged over 7,300 supporters and donated more than $485,000 to the American Cancer Society, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Breastcancer.org, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Vetri Foundation, Cradles to Crayons, The Alzheimer's Association, Smith Park, KIPP, Ronald McDonald House Charities and St. Damien Hospital.

We invite you to engage with FUEL the CURE, and hope to see you at one of our events!

Our Ethos

We ask ourselves, and our supporters, to incorporate the underlying meaning of the FUEL the CURE ethos – Find time, Take action, and Create hope – into our everyday lives.

Find Time

Find Time

Each of us controls how we choose to spend our time. Often we offer up the phrase "I've been so busy" as an excuse for not doing something, yet we manage to find time for things like watching TV, socializing, and spending weekends at the shore. We don't ask ourselves or our supporters to give up their favorite pastimes; however, we believe that we can all make small sacrifices in our lives in order to make philanthropy a higher priority.

Take Action

Take Action

Intentions alone are meaningless – nothing happens until one sets something in motion by taking action. We ask of ourselves and our supporters to take action by deploying our resources (notably time, skill sets, networks, energy and money) more constructively to make a positive difference in our society.

Create Hope

Create Hope

Making philanthropy a higher priority and taking action enables us to create hope and offer help to those in need.
